| About Northwest Passages "The Pintail" (Double Click to Enlarge Images) The "Pintail" is a converted 1924 Bristol Bay Double Ender. Originally built in Astoria, Oregon at Bumble Bee Seafood. She was used in Alaska as a "sailing gill netter" for Salmon. The "Pintail" was decommissioned in 1935 and sold at auction. Cabin, Pilot House, and Engine were added at that time. Total conversion took several years. The "Pintail" has been enjoyed by several families throughout the years motor cruising throughout Puget Sound, The San Juan Islands, and British Columbia. Complete restoration was finished in 2004. The "Pintail" is 29 feet in length with an 8 1/2 ft. beam. Registered Clergy on board.
